I've been having less than nice feelings about the fact that summer is almost over, just the fact that Friday is September upsets me. So I decided this morning that I need to try and focus on something good this winter, so I'm starting to focus on Christmas. I love Christmas, it's a fun time, so if I start getting excited now a) it reminds me that I need to shop soon for the Brit contingent and mail presents by November, b) it means I won't be quite so darn angry when it turns freezing.
That's my plan.

Well that is a plan. But I can't stand Christmas cos I hate the dark nights and the blatant commercialism- grrr. The day itself is nice though but the huge build up is horrid.
When does the weather start getting bad in Saskatoon?
Well.... the really nasty weather is like home, so January February is when you can get the -30 weather with a wind chill of -50. But it can snow as early as September, or it could wait until December, you never know. Right now the weather is still quite nice, it was +32 on Tuesday, so we'll see. It can change fast here. But I'm hoping for an Indian summer this September.
