Moving day (kind of)

I am sat at my office desk with boxes all around me.

We are mainly moving out of the Western Tract Mission building today. I say mainly because Nicole and I are staying in our offices for another month, but I will be minus my desk, apparenly I am being left with a plastic fold out table and the bare necessities ie: my computer, phone, a notepad and pen.... cracking!

And we are 'kind of' moving today because we're moving out but not moving in. The building isn't quite done, so everything is being stored away. We had to pack everything and mark if it was essential or non essential, anything non-essential might not be seen until mid August, it's been fun.

I had another shower this weekend, it was Colleen's (L's cousin) bridal shower. It was fun, Carla's house (L's cousin in law) was full of aunt's, cousins, niece's/nephew's, sister's, mothers and friends. I'm pretty certain she enjoyed it. Afterwards Joy & Roxy came over to ours to watch the hockey game where Dale and Brendan joined us too. L was happy because Dale brought over Guinness.

Last night was good, I had a good hard work out at the gym, then Tanya came over and we had a good chat while we played Pay Day, T won hands down! It was great, I love spending time with her, it does my heart good.

3rd Anniversary yesterday

Three years married... WOW... it's so good!

Lindsay surprised me yesterday by coming to my office for lunch, he brought me 2 beautiful plump red roses. Then we went for dinner last night, to Ricki's. We both love that place. We were just going to have a quiet night in afterwards, and I guess you could say that we had a really quiet night in because pretty much as soon as we got home I fell asleep, at like 7pm, and slept until this morning! I BETTER feel good today after all that sleep.

The World Cup starts Saturday

I live in 2 different realities. My Canadian life, which is very much 80% of the time, where I am physically present. And then my English life that I live via the internet, chatting on MSN, listening to Chris Moyles, reading the news on the BBC website, keep up with Corrie, Emmerdale, Enders & Neighbours.

In my internet life the World cup is a HUGE thing, other people are getting as excited as I am and we are all waiting with bated breath to see if Rooney will be fit to play, it's all over the news and it's the main topic of conversation. And I've had my invite to watch the match at a BBQ round at a friends house.

In my physical world, people have no clue who Rooney is and don't care about his injury or what his x-rays will mean for the World cup. Hopefully our neighbours won't be too upset when Lindsay and I are screaming at our TV at 7am Saturday morning when England have their 1st match.

Dawn's baby shower

Jessica Benson and I threw Dawn a baby shower for Libby last night. I say Jessica and I, but it was mainly Jessica, I have no clue how to really throw a shower as I am still an amateur at all this. Anyways, the shower was last night, and it was really great fun.

But I did what I seem to do a lot of lately, take my camera then leave it in it's case all night and not take one picture, how lame am I? This happened at Josh & Candace's wedding the other weekend too, so 2 major events and no pictures!!!

Moving on... the shower was well attended, there were loads of us crammed in to Jess & Gregs beautiful house. I'm guessing there were about 20 ladies there, and 3 babies as well, including Libby. Gift bags abounded filled with very cute baby things, it was a lot of fun.

STUPID!

I really do the stupidest things and react in the stupidest ways.

Last night I went to the gym, came home and needed a shower. So I have a shower, wash my hair and shave my legs... like you do. I'm just about to turn the shower off when I glance down and notice a whole LOAD OF BLOOD! I completely freaked out, I totally was not thinking. I stood there yelling for Lindsay, totally freaking out. At the back of my mind there was a small voice going 'It's OK, you just shaved, you just nicked yourself that's all', but the sight of the blood and the fact that blood was coming from both ankles just made me a tad anxious.

Anyways, I had just nicked myself, but I had done it in exactly the same place on the front of both ankles, so I had matching waterproof plasters on both ankles, I looked like such a div!
